* Note that for copy operations reconnect will be disabled if you use transactions. This is required for data security. If a reconnect took place when still non-committed statements had been executed they would not be committed ever (because with a new connection the transaction log for the old connection is not available) and user would not be aware of this. For Data Sync and Migration transactions are always enabled if ENGINE supports it, because this does not result in any conflict as SJA does not reconnect automatically'

Bug fixes:
* Opening a .schemaxml file (to Schema Designer) failed if path contained unicode characters (save not affected and no other save/open operations of the program either).
* It could occur that a connection thread started for the purpose of export did not correctly use the same connection parameters as the 'parent thread'. That might result in a 'Error 0' (actually this includes two different fixes).

Advanced Motion Detection Algorithms
Most encoders use a conventional algorithm based on the exhaustive search. Automatic Scene Change Detection
The Cinema Craft encoder uses an advanced forward scanning technique to identify scene changes and use them as points for keyframe (I-Frame) insertion. Cinema Craft SP also allows you to manually set keyframe (I-Frame) insertion points, great for inserting pin-point accurate chapters in DVD titles.

High-Performance Pre-Encoding
During Automatic Scene Change Detection, Cinema Craft also performs an additional step that involves high-performace pre-encoding of your source video data. This produces data that contains important bitrate to distortion ratios that are used to assure the production of a high quality and stable MPEG stream.

Variable Bit Rate Encoding
Most software MPEG encoders support both Constant Bit Rate (CBR) and Variable Bit Rate (VBR) encoding. But very few (if any) support true multi-pass VBR the way Cinema Craft SP2 does. VBR encoding provides the best utilization of the MPEG-2 bitstream by analyzing the motion of the video being encoded and varying the bitrate accordingly; More action, more bitrate, less action, less bitrate. This generally leads to higher quality video and smaller file sizes which is always good.

Multi-pass VBR takes this one step farther by making multiple passes through the video, each time revising the bitrate structure generated from the previous pass. This used to be the realm of high-end hardware encoders, but now it's available right on your desktop.

REAPER is a powerful but sensible Windows application that lets you record, arrange, edit, and render multi-track waveform audio. It provides an extensive set of features, but is a very small and lightweight application (the installer is less than 1 megabyte, and includes many effects and a sample project).

REAPER supports ASIO, Kernel Streaming, WaveOut, and DirectSound for playback and recording. It reads WAV, OGG, and MP3 files, and records WAV files. You can arrange any number of items in any number of tracks and use audio processing plug-ins (DirectX and Jesusonic). REAPER also supports volume, pan controls and envelopes per track, multi-layer undo/redo, and user creatable color themes.

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing (P2P) communications protocol. BitTorrent is a method of distributing large amounts of data widely without the original distributor incurring the entire costs of hardware, hosting and bandwidth resources. Serving large files creates problems of scaling, flash crowds, and reliability. The key to cheap file distribution is to tap the unutilized upload capacity of your customers. Their contribution grows at the same rate as their demand, creating limitless scalability for a fixed cost. The new Folder Favorite sets allow keeping some specific folders and addresses together in a single list.
Address History tab in the Folder Tabs to keep track of people one is exchanging messages with.

Address History
You may setup the Address History to keep track of people you are messaging with. This way, you may quickly find messages from a particular person, know when you or she/he wrote you last time, etc. The setup wizard collects initial information from your existing message base, so you can start using the Address History right away. When you enable the Address History, you may access the list of recorded correspondents at the "Addresses" tab of the folder pane in the main program's window.

Modern Look
The main windows of the program have modern look:
# The tabs has new navigation controls;
# Headers and free space in windows have nice gradient background;
# Buttons in the header filed also look much nicer because they also support gradients;
# Removed unnecessary borders around graphic components, that helps to avoids visual clutter;
# The account section of the status bar has it's own customizable popup menu. The status bar has also an option to show the account log or have it hidden.

URL Manager for Retrieval of HTML Images in The Background
The Bat! now shows images in HTML messages referenced by http protocol. Noting the fact that this opportunity has been abused by data “phishers”, The Bat! Introduces sophisticated URL Manager to control the retrieval of messages not by folder or addressee, but by particular hosts or URLs.

Upgraded Text Editor
The MicroEd text editor is improved. Now it supports Unicode and all the available system fonts. You have the possibility to use different fonts for different elements of the message and benefit of the system-wide drag-and-drop option. We also added the Redo function and spell checking for multiple languages at once. Text search is equipped with new options. Message signature is highlighted.

Easier Support and Maintenance
The Bat! now sets %EMAIL% environment variable to its mail directory (where mail accounts and address books are kept on disk). You can now type %EMAIL% in the address location of Windows Explorer to quickly to The Bat! mail directory. This significantly simplifies technical support: the user is easily able to locate the mail directory right from Windows Explorer, regardless whether this directory in “Program Files” or “User’s data” folder, even if the user doesn’t exactly know where the mail directory actually is.

Capitalization of the Addressees’ Name
The first character is of the addressee’s name is automatically capitalized if the recipient is specified by e-mail only. For example, if you specify only "stefan@ritlabs.com" in the "To:" line of a new message, it will now put "Hello Stefan," in the message text, and not "Hello stefan," as before. This is because of the new algorithm of %TOFName and related macros.

Advanced Image Viewer
The internal image viewer allows viewing all attached images in selected messages, navigating between images. It supports rotate, advanced resize and zoom algorithms and full screen mode. It now also supports JPEG images with 4-component color schemes (CMYK and YCCK). Such JPEG files can also displayed as embedded images of HTML messages.

Improved Speed
Message list sorting by "From", "To" or "Subject" column is now five times faster. The Bat! should also consume less memory because of fixed memory leaks.

Support of TNEF Format
Some attachments in a message forwarded from Outlook were neither visible nor accessible from The Bat!, because Outlook uses its own (TNEF) format for encapsulating attachments. These messages did contain winmail.dat or message.att file rather than the actually attached files.
The Bat! currently support extraction of regular files. TNEF can also include nested binary (Outlook IMessage) messages, Outlook meeting requests, Outlook delivery reports, and so on. Such binary Outlook objects are not yet extracted.

Smart Security Buttons
The buttons that appear in the header panel when you see a PGP or S/MIME message now display multiple properties of a message. For example, when a message is signed and encrypted, you will see a single button that combine both “signature” and “encryption” images.
The menu of this button works smarter: it shows the whole list of security actions available on this message (e.g. decrypt, show signature details, import certificate, etc). The most important action is marked by the bold font style. If you click the left mouse key on this security button, this important action is executed. If the message has more than one important action, the left mouse key then invokes the pop-up menu to give the user choice: which of the important actions to perform.

SLAX is fast and beautiful Linux operating system which fits on small (3.14") CD-ROM disc. It runs directly from the CD (or USB) without installing. The Live CD described here is based on the Slackware Linux distribution and uses Unification File System (also known as unionfs), allowing read-only filesystem to behave as a writable one, saving all changes to memory.

Imagine the ability to boot your favorite Linux distribution whether you are at home, at school, or at work. Imagine walking on the street and carrying the only thing you needed in life - the 8cm compact disk with your Live Linux CD.
When your computer boots from the LiveCD, the first step is loading the kernel image (vmlinuz). After this, a 4 MB ramdisk is created in the computer's RAM. The rootdisk image (initrd.gz) is then unpacked into it and mounted as a root filesystem. Large directories (like /usr) are mounted directly from the CDROM.

The primary goal of SLAX is to provide a wide collection of useful software while keeping the cd's image small enough to be written to a 195 MB CD-R(W) medium (small 8 cm CD). SLAX boots directly from the CD or USB devices and it provides a full featured Linux operating system.
All your available partitions and data storage devices (CD-ROM, USB storage devices, etc.) should be recognized at boot and should be mounted to /mnt/xx. As an example, "disc0part1" may be assigned to the first partition on your primary hard drive, "disc1part1" for your USB storage device, or "cdrom0" for your CD-ROM drive. SLAX will never write anything to the mounted devices. Mounting is safe and does not change the data.

After booting, you should be able to login as a "root", with the password "toor"; both without quotes, of course.

When logged in, you have many options. At the shell prompt, you may start Midnight Commander (type "mc" to the console), play some music from your hard drive (type "play /mnt/path/file.mp3"), adjust your audio volume (type "alsamixer"), configure IP address (type "netconfig") or browse web pages with the text-based browser (type "lynx http://url").

To start the graphical environment included with SLAX, type "gui" (for graphical user interface). It will attempt to autoconfigure your graphics card, monitor, keyboard and mice, and if successful it will run an X session with KDE. I'm pretty sure that you will know how to get around at this point. :-) Use "guisafe" instead of "gui" for safe-mode (VESA framebuffer) without autodetection.

In the unfortunate case your mouse doesn't work, try to move it for a few seconds to see if it will be autodetected. If it isn't, shut down Xwindow (press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace) and start it again. If this won't help then you are using something I have not included in the autoconfiguration process (COM2 mouse?). If you are comfortable with bash, or you atleast understand how to make your favorite mouse function under Linux, try to modify the symbolic link /dev/mouse manually.

If you don't like the autoconfigured screen resolution, refresh rate, or the K Desktop Environment, start "gui" with some additional options. Try for example "gui 800x600 60", where 800x600 is the desired screen resolution and 60 is the desired refresh rate. Fluxbox is one of the other window managers included and may be called with "guifast" or "gui fluxbox". In any event, type "gui --help" for more information.

All scripts and source code are available and can be used to build your own Live CD.

SLAX is available as an ISO image of the CD. It fits on small 8cm CD-R(W). Burn it with your favorite cd-writing software and then boot from the CD.

You might want to check your BIOS to assure it's set to boot the CD prior the disc.

Changes in version Slax 6.0.0:
Linux Live scripts version 6 are the most innovative scripts available. AuFS provides better stability compared to old unionfs, squashfs with LZMA support provides great compression ratio and amazing decompression speed. What's new compared to old Linux Live scripts v 5:
- aufs is used instead of unionfs, brings great stability and features
- squashfs is patched with LZMA compression, so compressed filesystems are up to 30% smaller
- no need to patch your distro's startup scripts in order to remove remount of root rw
- no need for udev as the devices are created during live startup
